New - Updated weight set metal prices having increased in the last few years, the price difference between run-of-the-mill cast plates and higher-quality plates (like these Rubber ISO) has become less significant. Although perhaps an unwanted additional expense when equipping your home or commercial gym, you will thank us for selecting this set over inferior products. Mentioning inferior products, you should also note that the major selling points of the Rubber ISO plates - steel centre for easy loading, thicker hub for easing manoeuvring, tri-grip design for handling - are not common features of most rubber plates.

As regards the bar supplied in the set (International 7ft Bar), the revolving ends, chroming, diamond knurling etc. are all superior to the bog-standard 7ft olympic bar.  The collars to are high-quality - olympic aluminium bulldog clamps, which are the nicest collars we've found.
