Plate-load strongman-style leverage machines are becoming popular again of late, no more so than the deadlift/shrug machine, which presents a deadlift much like that of a car deadlift. With the neutral-grip and no crossbar in the way, the lift is much like using a trap/shrug bar, so, with a more central position and leverage, you'll find many pushing new poundages.
In the past, I've trained in a couple of gyms with Deadlift/Shrug Machines and they machines were always in regular use, so, if you've got a gym with a history steeped in strength training, this machine should go down very well with your members.
Our Heavy Duty Plate-Load Deadlift Machine featuers dual-height handles to allow for full Range-Of-Motion deadlifts and high handles to allow "top lift" using a heavier load lifting just through the top part of the repetition.
Our Plate Load Deadlift machine has kept the same design since it's creation. As with most of out heavy-duty gym equipment if the design is right first time around there is no point in changing it whereas a number of our suppliers change designs ever 2 years or so but we find getting the design right the first time is always the best option.
