30mm Grip
Higher loading capacity of 650kg. Some people might find a 30mm grip too large to comfortably perform a heavy deadlift without gripping assistance such as lifting straps however a 30mm bar can offer a greater degree of comfort and significantly less flex during bench press and squat than a 28mm spring steel olympic bar without moving up to a specialist axle bar or thick bar. Something to note, the hard chrome finish and knurling of the York International Bars proves far more grip-able than the typical cheaply chromed greasy olympic bars.
This is a great olympic bar for bench and squats and the slightly thicker shaft can provide a little more in the way of grip training on deadlifts without going to the extremes of using a 2" thick (fat) bar.
If you can deadlift with a 30mm thick, stiff bar, come competition time a 28mm spring steel bar should enable greater weights to be lifted and PB's to be smashed!
