PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Heavy duty rubber flooring smells of rubber! (to a varying degree). This smell gradually reduces  given adequate ventilation. When considered for use in a domestic capacity, unless the gym area can be isolated from the main house and adequately ventilated by fresh air the smell of rubber may be noticeable for some time. This is a commercial product suitable for commercial gyms, garages etc.

Following many requests from customers for an option to have a similar grade mats as our interlocking gym mats but with a straight edge, we've come up with the "Square Edge Premium Gym Mats"

Similar product with a slightly different texture to the flat anti-slip surface but still easy to clean and can be mopped over or cleaned with a wet-dry floor cleaner, and the same 16mm thick heavy duty surface that can take the punishment dished out by a tough heavy duty gym without worry.

• Mat dimensions are as follows: 6' x 4' (1800mm x 1200m x 16mm) Approximately.

An advantage to the straight cut gym mats is they can be laid right up to the wall without the need to trim off all the interlocking lugs first. This also means you can lay the flooring either side up which it's understandable why you might do this with the "bobble" top mats but the flat anti-slip moulded surface is superior in every way so the only reason for inverting would be to match existing upsideown rubber floor mats although the smoother finish on the underside of the mat, while offering far less "anti-slip" properties it could be argued that it's easier to clean.

We also have a slightly more impact absorbing variation of this mat that has less grooves which are also much shallower on the reverse giving a slightly greater degree of sound and load absorption but for the price these mats are very hard to beat.
It's also worth noting that the top surface treatment also means there isn't the silicone residue associated with our original 17mm bobble top mats so while there is always going to be the initial rubber smell, the hazards associated with a purely moulded mat and it's silicone oil mould release agent don't exist which is also the same for our smaller (500mm x 500mm) premium gym mats.

For a larger area we'd always advise the interlocing version to ensure a clean and accurate fit and also for the fact you have the option to ramp-down any room exposed edges to prevent the mats from becoming a trip hazard.

NOTE - These are solid rubber and NOT for use as "exercise mats"!
