Pete's Nike Roamleo Shoe Size Rant: READ THIS FIRST If you're going to buy your Romaleos half a size (or worse) smaller than your shoe size PLEASE buy them somewhere else. For CrossFit you should NEVER under ANY circumstances NEVER EVER buy Nike Romaleos half a size smaller. This is one of those stupid urban myths started most likely by an "Internet Lifter" on a CrossFit forum who's most likely never even lifted weights. Since then it's been popping up on YouTube videos done by random people who really don't have a clue. We've sold many hundreds of pairs of Nike Romaleos 2 and know FROM EXPERIENCE what size fits and in all but 1 solitary case the right size is your ACTUAL nike shoe size size THERE IS NOT A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MANS AND WOMENS SHOE SIZES in this product! If you can't get to a nike shop to try on some Nike trainers then simply order the SAME SIZE as your day-to-day "work" shoes. If you're a woman wearing size 5 shoes PLEASE order SIZE 5 Nike Romaleos. We're quite happy to take back and replace shoes for a smaller size if you're borderline but if your Nike Romaleos are too small and you want a bigger size sure we'll do it providing the shoes haven't been worn but we'll be very grumpy and mutter things quietly. Oh, and for reference, the competition innersoles are a REPLACEMENT for the regular innesoles pre-fitted i.e. you have to take the existing innersoles out BEFORE fitting the competition support soles. Although no-ones actually confessed to doing this yet we've had a couple of pairs back that showed signs of this being the case!
AGAIN for the record. Women, the sizes are NOT "mens size" so please don't decide to reference a "man to woman shoe size converter" If you are a man OR a woman with size 5 feet then you need to order size 5 it's really that simple. This is the same right through every size from 3 to 14. Bigger shoe sizes are naturally wider and smaller shoe sizes naturally narrower.
STEP AWAY FROM THE INTERNET and call us if you really can't understand this paragraph....
You could always cross reference your actual measured foot size with the chart on the following page though we've not actually tried it but it's going to be a better judgement call than best-guess if you aren't able to try on a pair of Nike Trainers before hand. Nike Shoe Sizing Chart
OK here we go.... the newest colour in the Nike Romaleo range for 2016 are now available. We've also bought in size 3 right up to size 14. some colours are being phased out but lots of scortching new ones have come in. Still called Romaleo 2 we expect the name will change to Nike Roamleo 3 in 2017 but for the moment this is the only shoe to be wearing for CrossFit as it's proved it's capabillity over the years and not the cheapest weightlifting shoe out there but by far the bet to date.
Nice to see the new scortching hot "Pink Blast" in the smaller sizes which has been a long time coming but bringing the more feminine colours into whats rapidly becoming a 50:50 split ratio of male to female crossfit athletes.
The Nike Romaleo has already proved it's self to be an outstanding shoe for both competitions and casual lifting but they've excelled once more and now the outstanding shoe will once again STAND OUT from the crowd.
All Nike Romaleo Lifting shoes come with a regular inner sole and a harder competition innersole.
I'm sure you all know about the differences between the nike Romaleo 2 and the original Romaleos? 50g lighter, more flexible fore-sole which makes a big difference on the Clean and Jerk. Huge and ever evolving range of colours and the Crossfit shoe to rival all others for all the above reasons.
FAQuestion: "What size Nike Romaleo should I order as I've seen suggestions to go half a size smaller on some forums?"
ANSWER: We ALWAYS advise ordering the SAME SIZE as you would wear a regular Nike trainer. All sizes are UK sizes (unisex) and if you only wear Reebok trainers then get along to a sports shoe shop that sells Nike trainers and try a few pairs on. Find the best (most comfortable) fit that isn't sloppy nor overly tight and there's your answer. Remember the Romaleo 2 comes with a training inner-sole which is flatter and softer and a competition inner-sole being much firmer and more contoured for greater rigity and support when competing rather than crossfitting etc. :)
REMEMBER - Nike Romaleos are a COMPETITION Weight Lifting Shoe. They are NOT a running or cross-training shoe. They are designed for maximising olympic lifts and therefore are tight and stiff to provide the required support. If you want "comfortable" shoes in preference to PERFORMANCE shoes these are not for you. DO NOT RETURN THESE SHOES TO THE GYMRATZ ADDRESS we will ONLY accept returns once we have issued a returns authorisation number and return address details.
Tech Spec. as follows:
- NIKE contoured TPU heel wedge cups the heel and supports the foot to provide unmatched lifting stability.
- Integrated lacing and double power straps lock foot firmly in place.
- Ultra supportive, durable upper materials and construction
- Includes training and competition sockliners (innersoles)

Nike Romaleos 2 Weightlifting ShoeReview submitted on 20th May 2016 by B Wilkinson Bought these after having a pair of Inov8 Boa Fastlifts that I never really got on with. I felt that there was too much room, (for me anyway) in the toe and forefoot area, never felt planted. |

Rock solid, perfect fitting lifting shoeReview submitted on 1st May 2016 by Colin Short and sweet. There are many reviews advising which sizes to buy, I'm a 9 and ordered a 9 and it fitted perfectly. The straps give extra surity and I didn't find they dragged on the ground. The heel is perfect, saves me putting plates under my heels. Allows me to squat full depth and RDL with great form. I'm just a keen amateur though not a powerlifter etc. |

Great serviceReview submitted on 26th April 2016 by Aimee Fantastic service from Gymratz! I received my shoes to Ireland after only 2 days of placing the order. I absolutely love my new lifters! My feet feel so stable and locked in when wearing them. Definitely an investment and well worth every cent. |
