Rubber ISO Grip Olympic Weights pros' and cons?

Notable benefits of the rubber ISO grip plates are that they're easy to handle, especially important in the case of the 20kg plates which with regular cast olympic plates can be really difficult to uplift from the floor, these 5Kg ISO plates can also be used to perform dumbbell type exercises for example side lateral raises for shoulders etc.

The downside of rubber ISO Plates is that because of the 3 gaps (handles) in the plate the hub of the plate has to be significantly thicker than a regular cast plate making them virtually the same thickness as solid rubber bumper plates so they take up a lot of space on the bar. Also the plates are not suitable for deadlifting in which case the NEW G2 Rubber Coated Olympic plates are our preferred choice for commercial gym use.
